Rebecca Steele
Rebecca Steele manages Toyota Motor North America’s government affairs strategy on a variety of emerging technology policy issues, with a focus on cybersecurity, data access, and artificial intelligence policy. Additionally, Steele leads the team responsible for Toyota’s advocacy initiatives and the Toyota/Lexus Political Action Committee, driving grassroots engagement and public policy outcomes.
Before joining Toyota, Steele served as Digital Director for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (OR) and the Senate Finance Committee, where she shaped digital communications and strategy. She also directed digital communications for Wyden’s successful 2016 re-election campaign.
Steele earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Portland and a MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University. A Utah-native, Steele now lives in Washington DC where she heads to the mountains with her dog and family whenever she gets a chance.
