MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

Companies engaged in manufacturing, importing, exporting, and/or selling motor vehicles in the United States, including small volume manufacturers.

Autos+

Companies engaged in supporting, supplying, advising, or assisting OEMs.

AV Start-Up

Companies involved in the research, design and/or deployment of automated vehicles or automated driving systems with annual sales revenue of less than $1 million per year.

Allied Partner

Entities that would not qualify for either Motor Vehicle Company membership or Autos+ membership but nonetheless fall within the mobility ecosystem may qualify as Allied Partner Members. These potential members address a segment of the industry and mobility sector that provide valuable input and perspective on certain policy focuses or interests in the auto industry.

Membership applications are approved by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Applications will be vetted using the following criteria:

  • Ownership and governance structure of potential memberĀ 
  • Applicants' presence in the US market
  • Alignment with Association's public policy positions, mission and visionĀ
